sejumlah 517 bayi dibuang dalam tempoh enam tahun..


jika angka dijadikan ukuran nilai kemanusiaan manusia, rakyat negara ini boleh dianggap kejam kerana statistik Polis Diraja Malaysia  (PDRM) menunjukkan sejumlah 517 bayi dibuang di seluruh negara sejak enam tahun lalu. kebanyakkan kes buang bayi dilakukan individu terutamanya gadis yang bimbang maksiat terbongkar selain tiada tempat bergantung. berdasarkan perangkaan, seramai 203 mangsa dikenal pasti sebagai bayi lelaki manakala 164 bayi perempuan.
Bagaimanapun, 150 kes lagi gagal dikenal pasti jantina berikutan keadaan bayi tidak cukup sifat atau hanya penemuan bayi. Pada tahun 2008, mencatatkan kes teramai membabitkan 102 kes.
statistik ini amat menggerunkan apabila gejala ini terus berlaku. Dalam bulan lalu sahaja, sebanyak 19 kes bayi dilaporkan dan angka ini dijangka meningkat.
Hasil kajian mendapati lokasi yang paling digemari untuk membuang bayi di kawasan-kawasan perumahan, tempat pembuangan sampah, masjid, surau, jalan, sungai,semak dan tandas.
